You've drunk the Kool-aid, PP. Compare what goes for "Apostolic" today with what was "Apostolic" before the UPC merger. Before the merger the majority of "Apostolics" believed in a "One Step" pattern of salvation, didn't say "Trinnies are all goin' to hell" and wore modest jewelry.
I have family pics of Apostolic picnics from before and after WW2 where the ladies are wearing slacks and the ones that you can make out obviously have cut their hair.
That was the real Apostolic Faith movement of yester-year. You've seen that pic of ReformedDave's grandfather haven't you? Would you support that man as a missionary today? With his beard?

if others are allowed to stay with their anticonservative agenda, then there shouldnt even be a HINT of suggestion that you leave...
IMO, there are some on here intent on tearing down everything UPC, conservative or otherwise unlike they are, if they can stay, well ANYONE can stay.
Well, now that I think about it, I dont know why you'd want to stay, some of the stuff on here is repulsive at times, and I mean the attitudes and the agendas....
There are still a few good folks left, please dont leave Elder....not b/c someone runs you off, leave b/c you want to or cannot stomach the majority of the stuff spewed around here.....((By a select few, very vocal few, but few none the less))

its not an organized conspiracy Mark, it's just how some are...and they make me want to vomit.
I dont sit back and critize them for their beliefs or their liberation from the big bad conservative apostolic movement, nor do I have any respect for their veiled and not so veiled jabs at anything conservative.
To each his own I say.....people will answer to God for their choices, not me. I just have no respect for those that constantly poke fun and ridicule those with more conservative beliefs than they...
If they are correct in their "liberal" thinking, how can conservatives be wrong for being more conservative than they?
I have a lot more respect for folks like Renda, Pianoman, CC1, Sherri and others who are not still "UPC" but they respect where they came from and dont constantly crucify those who choose a more conservative life....or choose to stay UPC in spite of its faults.
But thinking its a big conspiracy or some large scale agenda? I dont think so, I think it's one or two bitter folks trying to make themselves feel better

You're dramatizing the situation...
Nobody "tears down the UPC" like the so-called "cons" around here.
And consider - they've been successfully on the attack ever since 1945. Their agenda has always been placated, even when it was the minority view. The PCI/"One Steppers" always given place out of a desire for unity.
This just emboldens the "cons" to be even more snarky. Who splits off from the UPC and solicits others to join them (AMF, WPF) - it's the "cons." Who has ramrodded resolutions through the General Conferences to drive the "liberals" out of the UPC - it's the "cons."
And who walks around all hang dog when you stand up to them and their bullying? It's the "cons."
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passive-aggressive for the behavior ploy that's being used against you here by the "cons."
