I believe that the blood is at work throughout the entire new birth experience.... from the first conviction of sin to perfection.

That is not what the Word of God says! Repentance is death in the since of death to our former self it is not though the uniting with the death/blood of Christ. Repentance is to turn away from those actions which we die by our responding to God. This though is not the uniting with Christ in his. One must die to self to choose Christ but to unite in his death is in baptism.

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

You can't compartmentalize and break down that which is a work of grace, predicated upon the blood, from start to finish.

The point is I don't see the compartmentalization. I see giving definition and reference to what happens in salvation. Words mean things and God's salvation is based upon principled law. Thus all things have a designed purpose and function. God does not float grace around without reason and order in which he is always consistent. Also I don't see in the scripture "you shalt not compartmentalize....." Also with the thought you presented you make God illogical or without reasoned order. Grace was the act of God giving his Son. Grace was the act of Christ giving himself. Grace was God offering salvation to us. Among a few things. We can understand Grace. Paul points to how to understand God's grace.

You comment is based on a personal objection not on the Word of God.
