How did he get in the shed? Did someone leave the door open? Maybe your husband did.

Esther,
I hope you are right. I'm getting more people telling me he will outgrow it and my husband says he won't.
My SIL said that he will stop after his teeth stop hurting and to get him more toys to play with and chew on. I give him the rawhide bones and he buries them. lol MY SIL told me not to give him things that smell like something to eat. lol
Anyway, the last word, from my husband, is: "If your dog chews anything of importance around this house I will shoot it or you will haul it off."
So, I will call the Vet tomorrow and see if they have any solutions.
There are a couple of things one can do Po.
One try a gadget that is used for cats & flowers, it is basically a water sprinkler with a motion sensor built in, if the dog goes near where he shouldn't-Squirt, off it goes.
Two, you could try getting something smelly like maybe bleach mixed in water & spray it around the things he shouldn't chew on & seeing as thier noses are more sensitive, it may deter him.
I'm so sorry, I know this is painful, these little guys have a way of really getting to you.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, at least he is alive and you have a chance of finding him a home.
My sisters chocolate lab died last week of a heatstroke. It was horrible, and just last month her little dog that she had for about 17 years died of a stroke (old age). It has been a hard couple of months for her.
My daughter already suggested a place that she has confidence will find him a good home. I'm weighing my options here.
When I saw my husband's brother a month or so ago he said, "You have a dog? How did you manage that?"
I had no idea the whole family knew my husband hates dogs.

Honey, we need to talk! Ya know! We need to talk!!! Something just doesn't sound right!!

We have a cottage style home. The area would formerly be called a "potting shed" because of the shelving and hooks for pot plants. There is one entrance and it is framed with scalloped wood trim, no door. It's not really a structure on it's own. It's actually an extensive off of our Master bedroom as we have a Mother-in-law plan. So that area has it's own back door. It houses our hot water heater and a raised platform in the back where I keep my washer and dryer.
It is separate from the back porch that is leading out of the kitchen. That makes us have two back doors. lol Where's the back door? It's in the back! lol
The house had the hookups in the Master bathroom when we moved in and I didn't want them in there, so we moved them. We remodeled the bathroom and covered up the hookups.
The dryer hose is what he grabbed and dragged into the yard for my husband to see when he got home. Lord, he was FURIOUS!!!!!!

This is what I'm going to try first. As I stated my Vet said an obedience school is the route to go, but they only hold one twice a year. I have to call and check that out.
I have to think of something. Won't he stop chewing on things when he gets a little older? An employee at my daughter's store told me they have an obedience program at the pet store. I'll have to check into that OR keep a better eye on him.
age 2 they generally calm down.
if you really want to keep him, do the obedience training....
or follow any of the other advice ive offered.... hee hee.
really if you can make age 2 and get him trained, he will be a better dog.
also training a dog then working them out will help calm them down. untrained smart dogs become distructive. trained ones exercize their brains and become very helpful

I'm checking on the training today.
Thank you, my husband will WANT to follow your advice, I am sure. I am going to hide the shells to the guns for safe measure. That will, at least, give me time to grab my keys and the dog.
