1. You have stated that the Chinese man IS MY BEST FRIEND. The Jews that were at Jerusalem for the Feast did not know the 120 from ADAM. They would not be amazed to here someone speaking in their language because any Jew from their specific land worth his salt would have made the journey to Jerusalem.

It was not that they heard them speaking in their own language. it was WHAT THEY WERE SPEAKING that caused the issue.
Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

Although they didnt know them personally,, they knew their race,, and they KNEW the unlearned Galilaens did not know all of these languages

Re: Do you believe in Pentecostal Shouting?

Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Act 2:5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Act 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
Act 2:7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
Act 2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
Act 2:9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
Act 2:10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
Act 2:11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

The issue is spoken of at the end of the text.

That's easy. They SAW those who were speaking were Galileans.

They were amazed and astonished, saying, "Why, are not all these who are speaking (H)Galileans?

8"And how is it that we each hear them in our own language to which we were born?

Also they possibly SAW the fire that fell on each of them...

They witnessed it visually and audibly.

Again,, I will try ...... The purpose of Pentecost was REACHING THE NATIONS.. beginning at JERUSALEM..... why did God send these 120 the ability to break the language barrier? So they could sit around and talk to each other.. no so they could go among the people and tell them the WONDERFUL WORKS OF GOD in other languages..... not shouting and screaming.. simply TELLING the onlookers about Jesus.. the wonderful work of God....... still sounds nothing like a Pentecostal Church to me

Stephen,, that is an excellent point I have never considered... it is very possible that this was a visible fire that sat upon them.. that would definitly cause it to be noised abroad

I never thought it was not visible - like I think the mighty rushing wind was audible ... but was it still there when the crowd arrived? I don't know.
