Apparently, as an actor, he wanted to capture the Jokers personality fully and it REALLY bothered him, even when the camera's were not rolling. Stories like this are fairly common. Ron Perlman (who currently stars in the Hell Boy movies) played the Predator in the first movie of the same name. He is said to have had major problems playing such an evil alien entity since his normal personality tends to fall in the "gentle" category.

Now think about this, way back I was dealing with a young man who use to go to the graveyard and ask spirits to enter his mind. He said he would do this to deal with pressures of his life.
Another individual who played a game called dungeons and dragons, would role play and become very involved with his character, he ended up almost killing a friend of his.
Would you say that those two actors you mentioned had taken on something bigger than they could handle?

Bro, I have seen the previews to this film, and it looks demonic.
I think Heath most certainly took on something bigger than himself.
Tragic.

I would put those two individuals in two totally different categories -and I would not call either of them acting. The first one is clearly of a spiritual nature and the 2nd is someone who was using a game to try and deal with life. Incidentally, chess has spawned just as much aberrant behavior as D&D. Just look at some of the freaks playing it at the competition level and their anti-social behavior.
Acting, if done well, can be hard! Especially if you are playing a character that goes against your nature! I look at the actors who played the roman soldiers taunting Jesus during the flogging scenes of The Passion. Do you think they slept well at night between takes?

Good point, and I would like to add that I brought those two boys into the discussion because they were both taking something on that was supernatural. Just like an actor who must transform himself and take on a spirit to perform.
The actor who plays Judas, a Roman Solider beating Jesus, or Satan temptinng Jesus, may go through the same changes. So what does an actor really take on when he must transform himself?

You remember the R&B young star named AALIYAH?
She starred in her last movie, "Queen of the D_mned." She was said to start sleeping in coffins and all sorts of crazy stuff to help her get into her character.
She got great reviews for the movie.
She died in a plane crash soon afterwards. Her plane was said to be overloaded and it crashed into a swamp in the Bahamas.

Is the implication here that she died as a result of being in that movie? I would attribute it to there being too much weight on the plane, but that's just me
