Years ago we were invited to go snow sledding with church people at the most conservative people's home in our church. I wore a long skirt and coat, but I was freezing. About an hour into the fun, the people at the house brought me a pair of his coveralls and said, "Girl, put these on before you freeze to death!". I was so relieved. Wow - Maybe that was the start of my slippery slide.

Since skiing was mentioned here, I wanted to add our experience.

A large group of friends from our church go to Colorado every year.
The women wear ski bib skirts. (yes they do)

It never fails that women stop them and ask where they purchased them, so they can go buy one like theirs.

That is usually the response we have....I am very comfortable doing things in a skirt. Well except throwing trees in one those machines....I have this fear of my skirt getting caught and it sucking me in. SCARY!

They look just like ski gear, but the bottom part is a skirt, rather than pants.

Maybe you could call them skibib dresses.
