Twelve hours a day. The other twelve I spend on this site. I tweak on coffee. A natural high!
And my prayer is worth something.. I don't spend 45 minutes clapping, and the next hour chanting "Jesus"

Context. Only "sin" can keep one from heaven. Paul said (in reference to Corinthian cultural norms) that it was a "shame".

Also, we have to keep the goal in mind. The phrase, "to let the hair grow" from komao is in effort to make the hair "long".

It will be valuable to note here that Corinthian witches were pagan ascetics that didn't cut the hair and even let their hair down in orgies and to perform divination. This is basically the origin of the "magic hair" doctrine.

In Corinth the issue wasn't so much the hair, it was women dishonoring their "heads".... i.e. their husbands.... by not covering their heads. The head covering was viewed as a modesty issue among them.

If a woman's husband feels ashamed of her behavior or appearance in any given situation she does best to reverence him by maintaining modesty and a Christian demeanor.

Re: Do Conservatives Incite a Negative Response in

Many classify me as a "liberal". I think that's a misnomer. In fact most Apostolics who many call "liberal" aren't liberal at all. I emphasize that I'm not a liberal....I'm a radical. A radical believes in a living, powerful, radical relationship with Christ that transcends Pentecostal religious "tradition", freeing the Gospel to travel freely to the lost without the baggage of man made "do's and don'ts". The radical believes in speaking where the Bible speaks, and allowing principles to guide where the Bible is silent. We acknowledge that many of this "principles" are open to interpretation and gladly welcome all into fellowship in spite of one's understanding. The radical will nearly always clash with various aspects of both the Conservatives and the Liberals....just as Jesus clashed with the Pharisees (Conservatives) and Sadducees (Liberals) in his day.

It's time to move beyond the age ol' debate of "Conservative vs. Liberal". Ditch the debate. Don't take sides. Embrace CHRIST ALONE and be neither Liberal nor Conservative....be a Radical.

I have observed some Liberals are very uncomfortable with Christians (or even non-Christians for that matter) who are more conservaitve than they are themselves.

As a Liberal:

1. Do you feel anger or a rightous indignation when around those with a more conservative lifestyle?

2. Do you feel extremely distracted or irritated when a women in a jean skirt and frizzy hair perm, or a man in a white shirt and tie worships God with you at church?

3. Do you feel it is your duty to tell other other Christians they are wrong and you are right in lifestyle?

4. Are you content to flaunt your liberties in Christ as what is right or do you feel compelled to inform them they are in bondage to legalism and the Law of Moses?

Disclaimer: I dress modestly although I wear jewelry and makeup but never with the attitude of superiority because of my choices.

Blessings, Rhoni
1. No

2. No

3. Yes and no. If its on a theological matter yes. I believe in the Historical/Critical method of interpretation. There's only one interpretation but many applications. If its on an application then no.

4. No, do what Paul did in Acts. He took a Narazarite vow to appease his Christian brothers conscience. This is all about culture. I wouldn't give my left hand in Pakistan so why would I purposefully offend a Christian brother.
