I don't care how much faith ones has, pain is pain, if your hurting bad enough you'll seek help, if your wise and smart. Sometimes the body requires medical intervening, nothing wrong with that or lack of ones faith. Pain is a way of saying something wrong !
When I was in labor epidural, I tried to go without but pain is pain it was to great, I think God for epidurals !
Kidney stones, morphine, again pain is pain.
CCI Thank God he took notice something was not right, he felt off, sure enough appendicitis, good thing he didn't shrug it off, thing is he could be 6ft under today instead he at home with his family as should be, thanks to medical help.
You don't think that God can take care of these things without seeing a doctor or taking medication?
Yep He sure can, but we have a choice! I choose to seek help, the body did the rest, it passed the baby and the stone.
Sister, we had two different doctors tell us getting an epidural wasn't good for the baby. The drug is great for the woman, but the baby gets it too. It has a tendency to make the baby very sluggish and extends labor time for the woman. As for the stones, I have heard them buggers hurt like there's no tomorrow. They couldn't use that ultrasonic method they have of pulverizing the stones?

Rico I understood the risk, hubby said my call. My son was large 9 pounds. I'm not a big person, at 4 I was climbing the walls, I could not control my breathing this was not good for the baby, the contractions were none stop,there was no way I could go on like that, doctor agreed . Plus he was my first, so I was even more stress and scared because I've never done this before, I hung in there for 10 hours like that, I had it. After the epidural I fell asleep, woke up an hour later having him, it took only three pushes out he came. The nurse told my hubby and parents this was the frst she ever seen an epidural work that good.
With my last two I needed nothing, in and out, but I knew what was going to take place so I was much more relaxed, this let the body do it's work, in fact the last two were so easy and painless I was board...

That first child is the worst one!!! When my wife (who wasn't my wife at the time) had our first child, he got stuck, and the doctor was late in getting there. They couldn't give her the epidural without an order from him, and she ending up tearing. This is the child I was talking about who was adopted out and we made contact with recently, only to find out he's very borderline retarded. I am convinced this happened to him because of a lack of oxygen. We have 4 other children, and none of them are retarded. Every time I think about him being retarded it breaks my heart and makes me want to go find that doctor and beat him senseless for being late!!!! Ugh!

Lack of oxygen is a big concern, this was the case with our son, doctor didn't like what he was seeing on the read outs. I'm sorry about your son, they try to keep my mom from having me, they told her she had to wait till the doctor got there. The nuns try crossing her legs, she threaten them with lawsuit! They finally left her alone out I came, blue! I was her fourth child she said she never seen a baby so blue, she thought I was dead.The only problem I have is with my eyes, they are bad, I can't see well. So I do understand the risk. Exactly, we do have a choice and I choose to trust God completely.
BTW, my son won't even take medication when he is sick, because he trusts God completely and I didn't even teach him that. He found it in the Bible and he showed me some things that the Bible has about it.
