Re: Pics from China

We had a girl from our church on a missions trip to Bejing, she just got back around Aug. 1 I believe. She had an awesome time. They had to be very careful. They prayed at some park and had to pray very quietly. They prayed at the Great Wall and several other places, but had to it all incognito.

She brought me back a real 100% silk scarf and a DG (?) purse. She brought almost everyone something. She saved for almost 1 1/2 years. She is making an "imovie" or something like of her trip. So we should see some of the very things that MOW has seen.

Very cool pictures.'

Oh and this girl does NOT like Chinese food. She ate ONE thing she liked that was Chinese Garlic Pork of some kind. She was very blessed she said because she found a McDonald's and Subway, so she didn't starve or have to fast too much.

I was looking forward to eating in Hong Kong last year, and we did not have ANY good food. NOT ANY! I couldn't believe it. The food was terrible! And I usually love Chinese and Japanese food - anything unusual.

Not me....I'm way too picky for that. uh uh no way hosea!!!!! If I can't pronounce it, it's not going my mouth.

If the Lord ever called me to be missionary, He'd have to do it somewhere where I could eat. I'm a meat and potatoes woman.

I don't think sweet and meat go together. So I don't like sweet and sour. I know I don't look like I'm picky, but I am. EXTREMELY. If it smells wierd, it aint going in my mouth.

OK, we were on our way to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and stopped at this restauraunt......we had dumplings ( a staple) and Duck neck!!! Not much meat! Talk about nasty.....look at this pot cooking outside where we ate!

This is inside the restaurant.

Here's the kitchen

This is outside

Here's what's cooking outside........Did I have any of this? Not in your life!!! The Duck neck was enough for me!
