Bro. Light,

I mean no disrespect, but you come across as having a problem with

Republicans and women. Strong women, that is! Women that stand up

for what is right!

Blessings,

Yes I have major problems with the Republican party. They preach conservatism yet they are the least conservative. I voted for Regan and lost every thing I owned when he shut down the oil industry in the eighties. Once was enough.
The republicans have been in power 8 years in the white house and 12years in congress plus a majority of supreme court justices.
They have made only a token attempt on abortion because they know if they over rule Roe V Wade they will have no hot button issue to get your vote. Abortion will be an issue four years from now even if McCain & Palin are elected and the republican gain seats in the Senate.

As far as strong women I have no problem with the strong ones or those that you may think are weak. I love them all (in the Lord) The choice of Palin has nothing to do with her being strong. The problem is I listened to John McCain for the last 18 mo. and his choice is contrary to all that he has said. Just my opinion.

Dear Bro. Light,

Thank you for your response as it is helpful in better understanding where
you are coming from.

I heard the stories of my father, who was just a young boy, how their
family went through the Great Depression. The bank took my grandfather's
means of making their living. They took his team of horses. Dad told how it
looked like they would not have anything to eat but God sent a "bumper"
crop of fine Irish potatoes. He said they had fried potatoes, mashed potatoes,
potato soup, potato patties, etc. For a period of time, that's all they had.

Talking about hard times, but God brought them through and out of that
"wilderness" journey. A short time afterward the "apostolic" message of truth
came their way.Just as the children of Israel, they went through their time
of being humbled, proven, to see what was in their hearts, and whether they
would obey all His commandments or not. (What revealed what was in their
hearts?) At first it was very bitter, but the LORD turned that bitterness into
"sweet water" a short time later when they found the "Living Water".

What is in our hearts comes out through the mouth. Words! Written or spoken. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. If the Living Water of Life is inside us, it will be made manifest. Our words will be sweet.

Being born as a child of the "Greatest Generation" according to Tom Brokaw,
that generation born to those who served in WWII, I also saw our family as
it struggled through hard times. But as my grandparents had done after the
Great Depression and as I saw my parents as they struggled through their
"wilderness", they trusted God with all their hearts and leaned not on their
own understanding, but in all their ways acknowleded Him and He directed
their paths.

As a young person observing them. and then my husband and I, going through our own personal "wilderness", I learned well that God could be trusted with any and everything that pertained to life. Learning to lean
and trust God has been a lifestyle. There was never a time to "trust in un-
certain riches". That is never wise! So they didn't invest in earthly things.
such as silver and gold. But they trusted and built on things eternal, things
that would last and and pay eternal dividends. How! By holding to God's
unchanging Hand!

If we don't look to man for our needs, we don't have to blame them when
they can't take care of them. But If we trust God, we never have to be
disappointed.
Just look unto the hills (Higher) for whence cometh our HELP.
Our HELP cometh from the LORD who made heaven and earth. God bless
you, dear Brother.

Brother, this also is a bit lengthy, but it just might be IF you would
read real carefully, you might find an encouraging word today.
Bless your heart and may the joy of your salvation be renewed, in Jesus
Name.
