He's not dealing with his sin struggle. He's justifying it. Big difference. Got the T-shirt. Honestly, it's not an easy route. But it does get easier. Key is to give the burden to Jesus. We were never meant to carry these kind of loads. I can that today I am not who I was a yr ago.

So you think it's more he's given up ...?
Do you think being filled with Holy Ghost will automatically equate in being cured from the sin giant in one's life?

Yeah, he has given up.
I don't know what to say about the Holy Ghost automatically curing the sin giant. The Corinthian church had a member that took his fathers' wife.
Through the yrs I have seen many people fall to many things. I've discussed the topic of fornication with a friend and he admitted that the desire/struggle never leaves.
On the other side, I know people who were delivered from everything, drugs to immorality to never desire those things again.
Speaking from my own experiences, I know without a shadow of doubt that God gave me victory several times.
Thing is, I wanted to return to the sin. I played around a time too many, or so it seems.
As time went on, I felt less and less conviction. Sure, I knew in my heart that I was sinning -but conviction was not there. I had several of that lifestyle tell me "...this isn't who you are..." "...you're not ---"
The "ex" who wasn't an ex at the time told me "...go back to church, I know that's what you want." Also "you're not ---" as the others have said before.
What it came down to at the end of the relationship was me saying something like "I think I revert back to this because I don't want to answer the calling..." or something like that.
I probably said too much.

We can learn a lot from your transparency Berk ... me most.
I agree he's given up and what we hear now is a lot of rationalizations ...
I firmly believe that he was divinely inspired in many of the songs he wrote ... and was living an upright and repentant life when they were actually penned ....
We got the VICTORY ... in JESUS!!!! OUR MIGHTY CONQUEROR!!!

I think your honesty really helps people understand what others go through, and this topic is so tabu people are afraid to talk about it, they are afraid of what people will think.
But I believe confession is key to be delievered. How can you get free from something without talking about it?-In James it says to confess your faults one to another..
The thing is we all have some sort of stuggle in some way, the bible does mention words like "fight the good fight." "We Wrestle" "War", this walk with Christ is a day to day thing and sometimes it's a battle, but through HIM we have victory.
To think that this life in God is suppose to be without any difficulties or stuggles is an out and out lie-
1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

I find it easier to be honest now and people will get over it, than to keep it to myself only to be destroyed later by others.

You know what, as long as you are putting God first, your honesty about what you have been through is going to help many people!
That's what counts!

Again, I'm not Berk...but...
No, I don't think being filled with the Holy Ghost will automatically equate in being cured from the sin giant in one's life. I think it happens sometimes, I wish I could figure out why and get some of that for myself...
