In a couple of weeks I'll be having a party for my boys, they'll be 3 and 1.
They both love cars, trucks, tools, Blues Clues, Bob the Builder... boy stuff!
I'd like to actually make a special cake this year, and being a newbie at it, I can't do anything too complicated.
I've looked online, so much out there.
Just wondered if any of you had made any cakes yourself?

I've made some "creative" cakes before and I'm not a cake decorator at all.
One was a Matchbox car cake. 9 x 13 cake iced in green (grass) and brown (brown sugar) for the roads. I put some houses and things on it from his toy chest and Matchbox cars one road. I made a pond (blue icing). He loved it.
I made a train cake one time too. Maybe I can scan the pics and show you.
