His "inspirational" value to the black community is a fairly small part of the overall picture anyway.
Most of the people hailing and praising this guy are not even black anyway, in case you havent noticed...
And blacks weren't the first to jump on the Obama train. Liberal whites were. He faced a lot of skepticism from many American blacks in the earlier stages of his campaign.The black community originally was giving most of its support to Hillary Clinton (wife of "the first black president" ) until Obama won the Iowa caucuses and showed he was for real.
The wide support he has as being a "transformational leader" goes beyond black Americans, and even beyond America's shores.... even though all he is is rhetoric and promise, with zero significant accomplishments to really merit such a high level of expectations.
