Me too. I liked some of McLaren's stuff, and Sweet, and McNight, and Morgenthaler, and Kimball, and Driscoll, and Bell, and, and....
I get good stuff from each of them...but don't ascribe too much to any of them.
I'm probably closer to Kimball than any of them if you back me into a corner.
I'm more emerging than I am emergent.

Naw, the older I get, the more I want the classics, Watchman Nee, AW Tozer and others.
Comes down to truth and intimacy with God.
Yeah, I like them too. LOVE Tozer!
Blinding Lights is good...do you think "Beautiful Day" is approapriate for today?

I just a follower of the man, taking a little from each, truth is truth no matter where you find it.
True!

May I offer an alternative? "Wake Up Dead Man" by U2.
Did I hear a request for "Heaven on My Mind"???....OK..I am determined that I WILL sing this song in the morning when I get out of bed.
I woke up with Heaven on my mind.
I woke up this mornin' feelin' fine.
I woke up with Joy in my Soul,
For I knew that the Lord had control.
Now I'm feelin' mighty fine.
Yes, I'm feelin' mighty fine.
I've got Heaven on my mind.
And I know I'm goin' go to where the milk and honey flow.
I've got heaven - heaven - heaven on my mind.
And now I'm feeling mighty fine.
Okay, where have they been hiding this Rep. Ryan that they just interviewed on Fox News? If they had people like him saying and then doing what he was just proposing, the GOP may be attractive to the younger voters. There were no smokescreens, no archaic symbolic stances, no obsession or preoccupation with the apponent...just good refreshing concepts that you can bite into and look into.
