There is a cultural shift that indicates that we are on the brink of becoming a post-racist nation. That aspect of this election is cause for hope and good cheer. However, the change in the political landscape is little understood, as of yet. This is because a vast plurality of his supporters do not understand that Mr. Obama is Marxist, or what Marxism looks like upon implementation, or to what extent Mr. Obama will attempt or succeed at implementing Marxism here.
Instead of training people to be able to reason, think of consequences, and understand economics, our government schools train people to assimilate, comply, and be easily manipulated via emotion.
So I believe that the political shifts we are about to experience are largely going to be a surprise, to us, to Obama's supporters, and probably even to Obama himself. There is no way anybody can say with certainty what he's going to do. There is no track record of achievement to use as a basis for projection. If he were to apply for night shift manager at McDonald's, they'd turn him down for lack of qualification. He has thus far shown himself to be a top-rate salesman, and little else. How much of his dreams for "hope and change" has he been honest about? How much of it is he going to try to turn into reality? What of it is actually possible? * (* that's the tricky part, once you delve into the economics)
Obama himself is an emotional person, not one for logic or reason. His advisors may be able to employ strategies to distract him from some of the more largely destructive Marxist policy initiatives to which he would otherwise be inclined to push.
Those Marxist goals he is able to accomplish may end up not sitting very well with a large majority of his supporters, once the cold hard economic realities began to slap them in the face. The law of unintended consequences gives no free pass to the right or to the left.
