Well, when we were UPC we were always getting new converts and folks who loved the church until they found out what UPC was. They would just go to google and search and it would be all over. Happened over and over.

So are you saying churches should hide their doctrine because of that?

If a church holds a doctrine they believe to be true and God-given, then what sense does it make to conceal this God-given truth, just because some people might walk away?

They walked away from Jesus too, didn't they? But Jesus didn't water his stuff down for anybody.

I do not know anything about him I think I might have heard him lead choirs? But I commend him on being forthright about what he believes.
