WOW....I guess I missed a whole lot of stuff here! Well, anyway, as a pastor, I have always made it a personal policy to stay out of the church folk's bedrooms. I teach about marriage and intimacy and always try to do it in a proper context. Every year, around Valentine's Day, I teach a series called, "Turing the Fizzle into Sizzle." Everyone loves it and I talk about relationships. I don't talk about sex per se, but I do talk about steps to regain the fire, the intimacy and the passion no matter how long a couple have been married.
I have heard of pastors telling their congregants to go home and "crank it up" in the bedroom, but I have been very reluctant to cross that line. I think it is very personal. I also think it is a little self-serving for a MAN to get up and basically tell the women to put out! It would be completely different if say, the pastor's wife said that or another notable woman in the congregation. Why is it always the men who are giving out these "suggestions?"
Just wondering......
