Setting aside the strict moral/scriptural aspect for a moment....a 60% increased chance of colorectal cancer is a significant risk. Since our body is the temple of God (1 Cor 3:16), it is our responsibility to maintain it properly and not do things to endanger our health and our lives. Indeed, scripture also says a man should love his wife as his own flesh.. [Eph 5:28-29]... so he should always be looking out for her well being, physically and spritually.

In light of this it might be fair to ask : Why would a woman want to engage in this activity if she knows it increases her cancer risk by this much [endangering the well-being of God's temple]? And why would a man want to increase the risk of his wife getting colorectal cancer by doing this, simply for the sake of "spicing up" their relationship?

Some might debate the A.S. issue on moral/scriptural grounds, but I think the medical aspect of this is something to consider also.

I don't doubt there is some medical aspects to AS, however I was unable to find anything confirming the 60% higher chance of cancer. I wouldn't take that as pure fact until it's validated by somewhere.

Once again, Neck you are blowing us all away with your great posts!!

Thanks for taking the time.

Even if the 60% number is hard to verify, there's no doubt that the medcial community has established that there is a definite link between this kind of activity and the rise of anal and colorectal cancers being seen in America. A quick Google search brings up an abundance or articles on it, such as this one:
Anal Cancer On The Increase
...Other risk factors associated with increased anal-cancer risk included gay or bisexual orientation among men, a high number of lifetime sexual partners and a history of receptive anal sex. The study also suggested that the overall increase in anal cancer rates might be partially attributable to an increase in the average number of lifetime sexual partners and an increase in the number of people engaging in anal sex, particularly among women.

It has been said that the person (playing the the feminine role in a homo-
sexual relationship) and the one receiving AS is the one who most often
gets AIDS! I know of a case many years ago where there was a long battle
in the California courts involving a young boy who the courts ruled in favor
of the homosexual couple. Saying the mother's strict fundamental beliefs
were more dangerous than his father's lifestyle. After the father who was
the one who liked to stay home (effeminate) and be taken care of, died of
AIDS,. The liberal women judges gave guardianship to the partner of the
father after his death from AIDS. This decision was published in PEOPLE
magazine, with full page picture of the boy and his father's partner, who
could have possibly caused his death. Soon after the partner won the case,
he told the teenager that now that his father had died, there really was no
use in him staying there. He no doubt wanted to make a statement for his
lifestyle.

If a man engaging in AS can cause a man to die, why couldn't he cause
a woman/wife, to die?? Just a question!

You surprise me..I didn't think you would know this. The problem comes in when there are multiple sex partners. If you are in a monogamous heterosexual relationship and practice good hygiene there is very little chance of AS becoming cancer. More prevalent today is HPV which causes cervical cancer.

I'm not sure I am going to ask this question the way it was asked via PM, but I hope to get the gist of it right.

It was stated that all men fantasize while making love. Do you think this is true and do you think it is wrong?

I don't think scare tactics are needed in this discussion. If you have some evidence that says women can die from this when in a monogamous relationship, please post it. I think the cancer argument has the most merit here. However, I don't think any woman has died of AIDS from this in a monogamous relationship. Let's keep this in perspective.

She was talking about Anal sex causing cancer in women if done in a marital relationship - I think. She can correct me if I am wrong.
