My Money Saving Testimony Today

Since there is the thread about economic woes, I thought I would post about the money I saved today.

First of all, we stopped by Chick Fil A for a quick breakfast, since we had a coupon for free breakfast that they sent to pastors for Pastor Appreciation month in October.

For lunch, the whole staff and wives were fed by about twelve ladies in our church who wanted to show their appreciation. It was fabulous and done up with crystal, gold flatware, etc. Very nice. AND FREE.

Tonight, we had to eat out, which we haven't been doing at dinner. But we had a meeting and had no choice. So I had a $10 off coupon for Lonestar and Eddie and I split a meal and still had plenty, so it was very cheap.

Macy's had a HUGE sale today and tomorrow and I did almost all my Christmas shopping there today. They had items marked off 50% and then an extra 50% off of that total. Plus I had a coupon for 20% off everything I purchased today. I got a $200 coat for someone for $40. I got Alfani shirts that had been $50 each for $9.99. Plus many more bargains I can't even remember. I was so excited I was almost running the aisles in Macy's.

And to top it off, I used to get $30 of gas and it would give me 1/2 a tank. Today I bought it for $1.83 and filled my car completely up. I was only 13 miles from empty and it cost me $31.44.

End of testimony!!! I am thanking the Lord for helping me find deals.

Awesome testimony! I think that the Lord uses "little things" to remind us how much he cares.

One more thing I almost forgot..........I had a gift certificate (from last Christmas) for a free 7 lb. ham from Honey Baked Ham that I had never used. I went today to see if I could get a Turkey Breast instead, for Thanksgiving. They gave me a whole turkey breast plus two packages of sliced ham for FREE!! So now I have turkey for Thanksgiving plus two or more meals of ham for later. God is good!
