This is one area I really resented about my childhood. I couldn't wait to institute the Holidays into our home. We not only didn't celebrate Christmas, but my Dad made it a very unpleasant time of year with all the arguing and debating and constant talking about how bad it was. Yes, this is one area where I have rebelled against my upbringing, and I'm HAPPY about it.

That's how I feel about it in a nutshell.

P.S. I also eat bacon and rare steaks.
I wish you would tell us how you really feel about it.

It is my very favorite time of the year also. I love the cooking, family get togethers, lights, and beautiful colors and songs. Most folks usually seem to be in a happier mood during the holidays.

Me, too.

Up until last year, we had made a tradition of choosing a real tree every year from a farm. However, my husband finally won out and we bought a fake tree. Although, he gets slightly offended if the kids call it "fake." He wants us to call it "faux" or "evergreen." LOL!!!!

I think Christmas is about family, charity and all around good will. That's what we make it about, anyway.
