This person is saying it isn't necessarily a choice but that their logic and experiences have brought them to this place.

To not believe is a choice.

I can't personally choose not to believe. Can you? I can choose how to act.

What I am trying to say is they are both choices. To believe or not to believe.

What I am saying is that I am not choosing the fact that I believe. I've always believed in God, ever since I was a little kid. And I believe moreso now after having been saved. I couldn't choose not to believe because I just do.

I'm running out to be "social"... so only have a moment... but would it be better to pretend to believe and maybe belief would eventually come (or return)? I just have a hard time trying to be something that I'm not...
by "choosing" to believe, then I am pretending to believe... does that make sense?

I don't think pretending to believe does any good. I think it causes an aggravation of the spirit. I think studying and searching is the best thing to do. But, I don't think advertising your questioning is good. Keeping it under your hat until you are more sure seems reasonable.

Yes it does, I do really understand. I have been there myself.

Do you want to believe there is a God who created all things?
