Is it true that WWOD is no longer over there? The only reason I've ever had to think about checking out JP is to go a couple rounds with LHH. He may be family but he's fun to feud with.

Some of the most fun I've ever had on a forum was the firestorm when I called he and Tribble "conjoined pastors" over their support of Mel's passion play.

I can't imagine wanting to say something that I couldn't say there, but I suppose there are some conflicted individuals like that who have to keep their real views undercover until they come here and can post them under an assumed name.

As for WWOD/LHH/MWB, it is sadly true that he no longer graces "the other forum."

I miss him very much. And yes, he is fun to feud with.

But as for him and Tribble, I don't recall them being on the same side of that argument.

I thought WWOD was agin Mel's movie, as I was.

But my memory isn't perfect, so I might be wrong.

You have a sibling that graces "the other forum" with his wit and wisdom every now and then. I actually met him in person at the GC in Tampa, something I had been wanting to do for a while.

My archived posts are on another computer, and the program I used to save them is not compatible with Vista, but, if memory serves me correctly, WWOD actually did a public seminar when the movie came out, using it as an outreach tool.

My thread starter was that the movie was a Roman Catholic tract marketed to and by gullible Protestants. (I still think that the movie was just a mass marketed primer for Catholicism) I caught it from all sides, but quite enjoyed the fray.

Thanks...I remember now.

I believe he decided to pragmatically try to capitalize on the movie's publicity as an outreach tool for sinners, but felt strongly that Apostolics were better off avoiding it.

At least I think that was his position.

I also thought it was very Catholic in its glorification of suffering, as well as a few other elements.

My chief objection was the fact that I wanted the Holy Ghost to ispire my vision of Calvary, not Mel and his Hollywood chronies.

You mean like television?

(Amos, please don't be offended, I'm not saying you believe this, just using this thought as a spring board)

Not a bad idea.

Start at the bottom of the gene pool and work your way up.

After you stir up the stuff at the bottom, everything else looks good by comparison.

(I'm not allowed to fight with him online any more. The last time I gave him good forum whupping, he told mommy and she made me promise not to embarass him in front of his preacher friends again.)
