35 was barely old enough for me!

And on a slightly more serious note, I think the other mistake that many couples make is to have their first kid right out of the starting gate.

Yeah we waited 4 years on that and I'm SOOOOOO glad. Then after the first one, I waited 6-1/2 to have another one; it took me that long to get up the nerve again! LOL

There was a period of time where every couple who got married in our old church had their first kid 9 - 10 months after their wedding. All their plans of travel and even getting to know each other before parenthood, were shot.

My oldest daughter was born 1 year and two days after I got married. My ex was the father of three kids by the time he was 21. We were crazy.

Oh, you get to know one another all right..lol just with all the emotions of a pregnancy.. you're right though about traveling...Not much money and time for travels... First vacation we took married was to Disney world and Clearwater Fl without the kids.... we left them at home and they were 9 months, 1 and 2 years old... we escaped for two whole weeks.

Hmmm... I wonder how people do that... they must just have to pray really hard for the LORD to stop them from concieving I guess... but why would anyone pray such a terrible thing?

No explanations please... I'd rather be in ignorance of new ways to tamper with GOD's plans...
