Now THAT sounds like living by the letter of the law and not the spirit. Spirit gives permission to hedge convictions for your family, to protect them. I would never call my Dad a liar because he kept me from some thing that were not explicit in scripture. A loving dad does that. He's consistent with Scripture in spirit.

Baron,

The effects that drinking has on the lives of OTHERS proves the scriptures right. I'm not going to get into a debate about it, but I've seen families grieve because their loved ones were killed as a result of liquor. What you eat, you potentially do harm to yourself. Drinking leads to so many other things that destroys many souls. As a pastor's son, I've seen the abuse and shattered lives. No one can convince me otherwise. the proof is in the "pudding"
