"let the Spiritual judge"

Brother, you can use your code words all day "legalism", "Pharisee" (others use), "rules", but I'm just telling you that you're wrong. It's not a rule book to make spiritual decisions on issues. It's responsibility.

Bro, I agree with you.

I am describing the mindset of the Pharisee hunters here--that is how they view the Scripture.

I knew you did.

The kind of legalism we are seeing on this thread is the worst kind--the kind that says "If you can't show me chapter and verse specifically forbidding it, it is ok."

Lol, you guys kill me.

No one is saying smoking is ok, we're just asking why the same amount of emphasis is not placed on other things that are just as dangerous to one's health?????????????????????????

Argh, I give up!

Back to work!

Phelps just a few posts ago YOU said smoking IS okay (not a sin). Don't go ballistic. It's what you said. Remember, you were being honest...

Ha, sometimes I think you're St. Mark in disguise.

Where did I say smoking was ok?

I bumped several posts where members said it wasn't a sin.

That is not what I am saying - I am just asking why the same logic is not used - I know what scripture is used for smoking but it seems to me we should use the same scripture for things other than just smoking.
