I disagree with this premise.

From a Charismatics POV:
I can learn when I am willing to be taught.

I am willing to be taught when I am not antagonized with the same sacred scriptures that I believe on for my salvation.

I am antagonized when someone tries to tell me in an around the bush way that if I don't speak in tongues I'm going to hell.

But that is exactly what we Apostolics have done and continue to do.

The Apostolic church I grew up (my Dad's church) did that, but we usually sung songs and praises until God would move. Then we would just verbally praise Him.

There would be dry moments within the course of that hour or hour and half.

But God would always show up, someone always spoke in tongues-- not always were they "new" tongue talkers.

My Dad had these services on Sunday nights, before the Sunday night service, in the sanctuary, at the altar.

The UPC in Moorpark rents an AOG and they have their own coffee bar. They let us use it at the end of a sectional meeting

I believe that if you you use the coffee thing as a once a month it could be a great method of outreach but these churches that have coffee bars I disagree with.
