You won't make it far as a democrat apposing baby killing and homosexual rights, they seem to go hand and hand, at least at the higher government offices.
Perhaps an appropriate question is do you feel grieved or offended that the Republican party has appointed the majority of Supreme Court justices and held the control of Congress for nearly a decade and did nothing to further the cause of overturning Roe v. Wade?

If that's true, why in your abortion posts do you condemn the Democratic party without mentioning the Republican party and it's voters role in keeping abortion legal?

If we're going to assign blame, let's be sure to get it on everyone that bears some blame in the deal.

I agree, I've paid more attention to the presidential candidates and every republican has stated life starts with conception and against baby killing while democrats say it's ok for a mother to kill her baby. I notice soon after elected Obama reversed the ban to fund abortions with TAX DOLLARS.

I read where some of the older sumpreme justices are close to retiring and the abortion crowd were hoping they would last til a democrat was in office, wonder why?

Oh, I know what they all say. With a gargantuan emphasis on say.

Thanks for emphasizing my point, TS. You completely side stepped the issue that for the last several years 7 of the 9 Supreme Court Justices were appointed by Republican administrations.

Why is abortion still legal in the U.S.? There seems to be a major disconnect in you're comparisons of justices appointed by Dem's and Repub's and reality.

Just to be helpful:

Justice Roberts and Alito appt. by George W. Bush
Justice Stevens appt. by Gerald Ford
Justice Scalia and Kennedy appt. by Ronald Reagan
Justice Souter and Thomas appt. by George H.W. Bush

A clear majority that can overturn Roe v. Wade at any time. If the past is any indication, I won't hold my breath.

Interestingly Pro-Life measures would be more successful under Democrats than Republicans. For example, in Ireland they have universal health care. Since the tax payers support the health care system they have increased power to say what is covered and what isn't. It's very possible that Democrats could usher in a universal health care system in the United States and the next pro-life administration curtail funding and services for ALL abortions in the U.S. and bypass the Supreme Court altogether. But I HIGHLY doubt it. It was just a thought.

Frankly, it doesn't matter because no matter who appoints justices the court will always rule in favor of choice. Let's be realists, choice isn't going away. It's been 30 years since Roe and we've steadily marched forward with more and more legislation and court decisions in favor of choice than we can name. No nation has every liberalized to choice and gone back to criminalization. It's here to stay and we best accept and find what we can do in this culture to reduce the number of abortions through preaching the gospel, helping women, and serving the lost. Let's stop being manipulated. Let's stop giving all this money to a lost cause when it can be used to save lives closer to home on a more personal level.
