Bro.... I have worked closely with the former President of the League of Womens' Voters in Ohio. My in-laws are very active in the Democratic Party because they work extensively with the local union leadership here. I'd say most of the folks I know are Democrats. None of them "support" abortion. Most wish that more women would choose life. However, they don't believe that's a choice for government to make. Again, if it were my wife on the table possibly needing an abortion and you politicized her condition and she died or suffered because of it, I assure you, I'd hunt you down and personally "lay hands" on you. lol It's just too complicated for Government to address.

Government makes alot of choices that interfere with folks lives or decisions, just a cop out to allo baby killing.

And the if the mother gonna die thing is so worn out, how often is that the case, been a nurse for 14 years and never heard of one case, not saying it doesn't.

But for that one case in a thousand, you absolutely don't care if her situation is politicized? If it were my wife, I'd have to argue that the choice as to if we'd abort or not should be ours and ours alone. Not yours and definitely not the government's.

"We" aren't killing anything. Individual women are making that choice for themselves, they alone bare that moral responsibility. For the past 30 years they have been and frankly, they will continue to do so because abortion will never be criminalized in the United States. Sorry, I'm just a realist.

But let's imagine a dream world where it's possible to ban abortion. You'd make that one woman's life expendable for your political agenda.

Also, here's another question. Let's assume they criminalized abortion today. Then the government would have to police health care providers and every woman's health care records and procedures to enforce the ban. That will take a lot of money, time, and manpower. Resources that could be used fighting other more dangerous criminals. Then we have to consider... realistically what would be the penalty issued to women who procured abortion? Death penalty? NOT. Prison time? NOT. A fine? MAYBE. So if we fine women for abortion we reduce the value of life to that of a parking ticket...AND... THE GOVERNMENT MAKES MONEY OFF OF IT.
