Smile Re: BishopTenneys message at BOTT

I finally listened to about the first 15 minutes or so of the message. So far so good. Not to disagree with Sandra by any means. But, it was about things we teach. Core Values(The Gospel) Traditional Values( Things We do cause we always have done it that way) Personal Values( Your personal convictions, Don't force them on everyone else) He even talked about the 12 tribes of Judea( All 12 had a different standard, or flag)

Basically he was teaching what should have been taught the past 30 years!!

Re: BishopTenneys message at BOTT

Ok - One question and one comment...

At the risk of sounding "unlearned"....what is a "rhema" word?

And - I am interested in ordering this CD/DVD - is it geared toward ministers? It is my understanding BOTT is geared to the ministry. Would it still be beneficial to a "layperson" such as myself?

Thanks!

RHEMA is a Greek word translated into WORD in the New Testament. And there is another Greek word translated as WORD also in the Bible which is LOGOS.
G3056
λόγος
logos
log'-os
From G3004; something said (including the thought); by implication a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning (the mental faculty) or motive; by extension a computation; specifically (with the article in John) the Divine Expression (that is, Christ): - account, cause, communication, X concerning, doctrine, fame, X have to do, intent, matter, mouth, preaching, question, reason, + reckon, remove, say (-ing), shew, X speaker, speech, talk, thing, + none of these things move me, tidings, treatise, utterance, word, work.

G4487
ῥῆμα
rhēma
hray'-mah
From G4483; an utterance (individually, collectively or specifically); by implication a matter or topic (especially of narration, command or dispute); with a negative naught whatever: - + evil, + nothing, saying, word.
LOGOS refers to the written word, more or less, in contrast to RHEMA which refers to an utterance for the moment. LOGOS often is used to refer to the writings of the New Word of God which can be given to us as RHEMA in moments when God speaks a truth from the Bible to us to apply to a situation in which we presently stand. But generally speaking, receiving RHEMA is receiving something God is directly speaking at the moment for that moment.
