Same here.... now honestly, I wouldn't mind if my husband did... nor would he care if I went through his wallet.... but out of respect, we just don't... if we need something from the each other, my husband usually gives my purse to me and I give him his wallet......and let him willingly hand over $$$$
R-E-S-P-E-C-T goes a long way.... Teach our children to respect themselves and others..... that is one of the main rules in my house... to have respect... In all that you do... be a person of good character and a man/woman of integrity. Children will learn what kind of a person to be by watching Mom and Dad..... although sometimes that is scary, it's an incredible chance to bring up some incredible young men and young ladies.

I raised great kids, I sometimes wonder, how did I raise kids like that? I know I made mistakes, but they turned out awesome!!!!!

How many times have we heard the saying "like father like son" and "like mother, like daughter"....... in many cases, not always, but many cases, that is the truth.... I'm still in the early stages of motherhood, my oldest is just now 11 ... and I've already made mistakes.... so none of us are ever going to be perfect.... but when you can see your children grown, raising families of their own, and you can say they are great kids..... my hat's off to you!

I've had an unique experience the past few weeks. My children are 25 and 22 and I've been able to watch them grow up right before my eyes.
I've transferred their childhood videos to DVD for them. So, within a matter of a few weeks I've watched them grow from birth to high school age. It's been fun to see their personality traits in them that I know now in them at such a young age.
I watched my daughter at age three on Christmas morning take about two or three LONG minutes to put on her new robe she got. She never got frustrated, she would put one arm in and then it would get twisted and she couldn't get her other arm in. She would take it off and try again and again and again. She refused help and finally got it on. That's her now - - determined to do it and do it for herself.
I watched my son rip through his Christmas presents every year - quickly. I watched my daughter take her time, open them slowly, enjoy the gift, then move on to the next one. That's the way they are now too.
I watched my son figure out in a minute how to hook up his new whatever and start playing it - - he's Mr. Tech man now -- nothing intimidates him.
I watched the sweet innocent childlikeness turn to a bit of adolescence withdrawal to moving out to college and barely being able to participate in family things because he's too grown up for it, then see him come back around to acting like a kid at 25....lol!
I'm just rambling, but seeing their lives flash so quickly before me really made me realize how important life, family, our love for each other is.....you guys with young ones enjoy each moment!

I had a pastor tell me not to go to JCM when I was planning on going in the early 80's. From what I have read I think that was pretty good advice. LOL

Yes, if only we could do some things over with the knowledge we have now!

How terrible sad.
The kids have 30 DVD's of their lives - - both have copies and I plan on making their dad a copy too, so they are set.
One funny thing - -right in the middle of one Christmas a episode of "The Fresh Prince of Bellaire" came on -- opps, someone had the wrong video in the TV! We didn't seem to lose too much.
