Re: How to Save Money

Dillards advertised 40% off of all their sale items. I went to one here in town looking for my husband- I could not convince him to come along! Anyway- I bought a $700 dollar Hart Schaffner and Marks suit for him for $200, and 4 shirts that ranged from $65-$75 dollars each - I got all 4 of them for $50 dollars- With tax I spent $300 dollars for over a $1000 dollars worth of merchandise. And they all fit! I love to score on sales like this!

Re: How to Save Money

Here's an idea I will keep in my back pocket. I don't know that I'll do this, but I am intrigued with the idea!! Has anybody done this?

Very interesting! This sounds like something I could get into.

I think it's a great idea! I have been tossing it around in my mind....and it has spun a few other thoughts....thoughts that may suit me better. But for party-going, love to chat with people, etc folks, what a great idea! Looks like $700.00 to sign up though and then YOU have to buy the gold and then send it and then they send you a check. That may give pause to some. But what a great idea to walk AWAY from a party with money!! Husbands will love it!!

My thoughts exactly. And I wouldn't even mind the sign up fee if I knew the program is legit. Any networking companies that one signs with - candles, jewelry, toys, etc has a start up fee.

I would just want to check it out thoroughly to make sure the company is legit.

I'm sure there are lots of folks who have old and broken gold jewelry who wouldn't bother to take it to a pawn shop of sorts but this would be a night out with friends and making money instead of spending it. As you said, one party that husbands would not object to!

I found this on MSN (about the 'gold party'). They had a video about it.
