Why are you focusing only on the 2nd half of the verse? It says first, "lust not after her beauty...."

Is beauty sinful?
I can focus any part I want. LOL

Can it be refering to her beauty based on vanity such as makeup, jewelry and such.....

I know it just says eyelids, not painted eyelids, but why do women paint there eyes if not for that purpose? It's not for other women, is it?

1. Beauty in that verse means simply "beauty." Simple enough.

2. Yes, usually when women dress up it's for everyone they plan to meet. Men erroneously assume it's just for them--that would be the male ego at work.

Isn't that the truth! It always amuses me that men think women dress for them, when usually women dress for other women.

When I get a new dress, I can't wait to get to church so all my friends can tell me how cute it is and how awesome I look. Female friends.
