I never heard your story, but I did hear the one about the disk and having to get up and leave the services, and the pastor giving the boot.

I'm not saying Sinatra's story is untrue I'm just saying I have heard the story before.

I am sorry to hear that.

With all due respect, this is a time to be strong. You really need to have a serious talk with the man - you owe it to yourself, to him, and to the rest of the church to get a straightforward answer.

Re: Why would a Pastor do this to me ?

I know people who joined motorcycle gangs and went through all kinds of abuse to wear a patch. People will subject themselves to all kind of abuses to join fraternities, and endure losing enormous amounts of money to be part of pyramid schemes, or money cults like Monavie and Quick Start.
People will endue everything from verbal abuse to water boarding to be part of a group. People will also kill themselves for cults. Imagine being a part of Heaven's Gate and finding out that you not only had to wear fluorescent Nikes, but you had to castrate yourself and while eating chocolate pudding mixed with sleeping pills? Yet, when we hear about Apostolic Pentecostal Churches you would think that the people who burned to death at the Branch Davidian compound got off easy. I had my bad experiences, but I had more awesome experiences in the Apostolic Movement. I don't want to offend anyone, nor discount any kind of bad experience. I just want to say that I have been around all different kinds of religions, sects, and movements, and I must say that Apostolic One God Jesus Name people are still the most fun, and that's with all their faults and fictions.

Too much time has passed. No one in the church knows why I'm no longer there. I never heard from any one after this happened.

I was a member there for 13 years.. He wasn't my Pastor for all of those years.

How long was he your pastor? In 13 years you must of had a lot of friends, what were their thoughts on your departure?

He was my Pastor for 3 years. I thought that I had friends, but as I said, no one ever tried to contact me. I did not feel it was my place to share this conversation with the congregation that turned it's back from me.
Peace, Sinatra
