Of course, she never quite, really, actually agreed to wager. But we were having fun. I new it was never used in a verse although I new some verses had the root word in them, thus my post on the cloud.
She made a statement that it was in the OT, that was where I laughed because it was not, unless you are reading Hebrew/ Chaldee! Then only the root word.
Appreciate your imput Prax!

Don't hold your breath.....or for that matter don't skip dinner. I don't think there's gonna be a pay out :-)
Anyways, the concept is there. It's just a word to refer to a concept found in the bible

Re: The Word Shekinah ?
try Ex.40:35, Gen. 9:27, 14:13; psalm 37:3; jer.33:16. also: He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91. I believe it is the Shekinah that is on women because of their hair. When I cut my hair after yrs in believeing I shouldnt, it actually hurt. I felt like I had cut something alive. The Holy Ghost in me grieved and grieved for several minutes. I have returned to not cutting my hair.

Re: The Word Shekinah ?
In regards to long hair, there are many precious African sisters whose hair does not grow long but it is uncut.

The bible does not say the Glory of God is ON a woman because of her hair, uncut or otherwise. You receive God's glory just as man does, by faith.
You grieved. That's called guilt. Same principle works in men who were taught to feel guilt for having facial hair, despite the fact that the bible does not teach it.
Feelings are subjective. Catholics have feelings for Mary and FEEL that she is hearing their prayers. So be careful about what you feel. Muslims experience feelings too and attribute it to Allah.
That is beside the main point, the bible makes no connection between God's glory on a woman and her hair.
