You are still walking past and denying there is some culpability on each part in
I Cor 7:5. It is not what "we" say or think, it's what does the Word of God say?
I will not be changing my mind on this one. Mainly, because my husband and I discussed this last night and are in agreement - together! Think of that!
I see admonitions in
I Cor 7:5 and also in
I Cor 8:9-12.
I Cor 8:9 "But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
I Cor 8:12 "But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ."
Even though
I Cor 8 is speaking on eating meat offered to idols, it still bears out the fact that if a brother is weak, you can cause him to sin, thereby, yourself also sinning against Christ.
For all of our pontificating - it would do us well not to overlook that!
Now, my hiney is numb from sitting here so long. I'll let you gals hash the rest of this out. You may have nothing to hash after I log out, since I am the only one in disagreement.

Just spicing it up for ya, Renda!!
