How truly frightening it must be to live in a siege “hold the fort” mentality, sitting around wondering who will be the next to be picked off.
How sad to reduce the concept to Holiness before God to compliance with a rulebook based on 50 year old North American “distinctives”.
Lord forgive them and grant them peace and a true understanding of Your love and holiness, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen"

Why would you post anything inappropiate on fb or any place else. God himself can look at my fb. Check that , come to think of it he does lol, Ps Dont put your address on there or anything personal like a pic of your house or any kind of personal info. Dont brag about your job or your place of employment, trade skills ie. wage brackets in specific ways, No ones business. its just common sense!

First of all, there is an obvious disagreement on what is appropriate. Secondly, you are obviously missing the point, no flaunting involved. Friend request followed by searching for something wrong. Hence Holiness Police.

instead of holiness police how about aquaintances that are nosy troublemakers trying to draw attention away from what they just got caught doing ? at which point they would cease to be even an aquaintance.

Re: The Latest from the "Holiness Police"
It is obvious inappropriateness is extremely subjective. To have the God Squad looking trouble is more disturbing than the "inappropriateness".

I am a pretty transparent person, but I did have a few second thoughts in the beginning about being facebook friends with people from AFF.
Though I am open on this site about what I do (and don't) believe, I also do my best to follow both the rules of the forum, and my own conscience (when it comes to not knowingly offending others ).
However, my facebook friends are a hodgepodge of friends and family from all different religions / lifestyles. And I made a decision in the beginning that I wasn't going to censor myself there.
Of course, I don't exactly think that anything I said or did on facebook or anywhere else would surprise anyone

Re: The Latest from the "Holiness Police"
concerning the "holiness standards" held dear and taught by many:
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Isaiah 29:13
6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
14 And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Mark 7:6-16

This is a problem. It is very difficult to listen if your mouth is always open. Those who are always on the prowl to catch those who's toes inch off the line are too busy condemning others to hear what thus saith the Word. I have learned that it is very hard to listen when your mouth is always open.
Also, it is impossible to learn if you already think you know it ALL!
