I have a smaller glass cylinder vase on the inside filled with white/cream calla lilies, red calla lilies and brown branch sprays. The red calla lilies are below the white lilies. Around the outside of the inside smaller cylinder I have several red calla lilies with the stems turned for varying degrees. Then I have black chiffon material with a velvet border tied around the huge cylinder - just one tie - no bow - I love it!!!
On the guest tables we will have cake plates with little pie sliced paper cakes filled with candy. I wrapped the twelves cake pieces with red, cream and a tiny black ribbon. Then I have a ribbon spray in the same colors in the center of the cakes with three little calla lily picks sticking out between the ribbon.
At each, almost, end of the tables I have little glass vases filled with Bridal diamonds, three creamy lilies turning in circles with grape vine twigs at various degrees. We will use cream table cloths, black and red tuille sprinkled with bridal diamonds.
We will also use my glass tea sandwich plates. This is fun!!! I'm spending too much money!!!

Yes, just for the shower. Yes, I do work ahead because there is no sense in paying for anything until it's on sale. That gives us plenty of time. BTW, after they saw the shower I laid out, they want to use everything at the wedding also - so that's a good thing. I'll have to follow all of my glass so it won't get broken!!!!
Sure, I'll take pictures - if I remember my camera. LOL! I'm not very good at remembering to do that. LOL!

Did I tell you how to make punch yet?
First you make a fist, draw your arm back, swing and ....................... BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Works every time..........especially at weddings!!!!!!!!!!!!

Preparing for a wedding in October, so it needs to be suitable. The flowers will be red and white calla lilies. We will have finger foods - tea sandwiches, nuts, fruit, vegetable tray, etc.
I used this recipe for my wedding - it's simple, beautiful and lovely, but doesn't seem to suit for an October wedding.
Blue Bell Strawberry Ice Cream
Sherbert
Lemon Lime Soda
Any ideas?
TIA!!!
Oh and I showed the flower arrangements and table settings for the shower today and they love it so much they want me to do the wedding too!!! I love that - now I need them to cut me a check!!!

Re: Ladies! Need help on wedding punch!
We had this one at a shower I went to recently. It was delicious. You do have to make it ahead of time. The lady who made it said it's too hard to make for a large, large group (like a reception) but it's ok for a shower.
Slushy Punch
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. water
Boil and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add
1 12 oz. can frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
1 12 oz. can frozen Lemonade Concentrate
1 46 oz. can pineapple juice
3 c. cold water
Stir until the frozen juices are dissolved. Then pour into cake pans or other shallow pans. Freeze overnight. When frozen, cut into chunks and put into gallon ziplock bags.
When ready to use, put the chunks into a large (2 gallon) punch bowl. Pour 2 2 liter bottles of 7-Up or Sprite over the frozen chunks. Stir until the chunks break up and mix with the pop. It will look like frozen applesauce. Tastes yummy.

Re: Ladies! Need help on wedding punch!
Another thing I've had that is very good is
Victorian Tea
4 c. boiling water
4 tea bags
Steep for about 10 minutes
Then add
1 can frozen raspberry/cranberry concentrate
4 c. cold water
Serve over ice. The only place we have found the raspberry/cranberry concentrate is at Kroger's. But you might find it somewhere else near you.

Re: Ladies! Need help on wedding punch!
Margie, have you tried to put this in gallon zip lock bags to freeze?
It takes up a lot less space in your freezer and you don't have to have a lot of different pans, etc.
Then you turn the bag inside out to dump out the frozen punch into the bowl and add the 7-up, etc.
