Because they are usually there early and leave late.

Our church has plenty of good reserved spaces for guest. In fact, we have too much space for guest and most of the members end up parking there as well. Otherwise it would look like no one is showing up for church.

Most guest don't go in the side door. That is where most churches reservced parking is that I have seen.
