My own people? You must be crazy. I have never been in favor of outlandish government spending on social programs, by either party. If I had my choice I would vote Libertarian, when that is not an option I vote for those who will spend the least, intrude on me the least, and tax me the least.

Go play in your tea leaves. We all have a choice and I chose to vote with my feet while you choose to whine about your lack of choice. Don't like the hand you are dealt? Get up and find and make a better place for yourself IF you indeed have anything of value to offer to anyone anywhere.
