Allah may be their name for God, but I take serious issue with the idea that Muslims worship the God of Scripture.

Who is Allah? Doesn't that mean the "one true God?" Don't they worship the God of Abraham, the same as the Jews?

Granted, Muhammad is thrown into the mix, and I get all that nonsense...it's along the same lines as the Mormons who give credence to the Angel Macaroni.

But when they pray to Allah, I believe they are praying to the same Jehovah as the Jews...what are your reasons for believing otherwise?

What is the nature of the god of Muslims? It is not the same. If someone were to tell you they worship God yet their description was a three headed goat, who consumed rats for dinner you wouldn't say, "oh, they use the same word for God as I do therefore it must be the same God."

They also do not trace their worship of God back to Abraham, their ancestry yes, their religion was created by the child molester they call a prophet.

We have no argument about freedom of religion.

Sura 29:46 “We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our God and your God is One, and to Him we do submit”

Sura 3:67 says that Abraham was the first Muslim. The Islamic view is that Judaism and Christianity are the ones with the flawed versions. They think we are correct on some essentials, but wrong on all the important details.

Dieu (French) and Gott (German) for God. The Arabic equivalent is Allah. Eloh-im is Hebrew for God and is the cognate of Allah. In Aramaic God is Allaha. Maltese is Arabic-based spoken, predominantly by Catholic people and interprets God is Alla. The Jews and Christians who speak Arabic use the word, routinely, to refer to God. The Copts, which are the Christians in Egypt, do not.

The big difference is that they do not believe that Jesus died on the cross. They believe God took him up himself. They do not believe that it was necessary for a price to be paid for our sins. They believe that we bear and pay the price for our own sins. They believe it is unjust for Jesus to have suffered and died for our sins. We believe that we do not have the ability to atone for our own sins and that God's grace is the only means of salvation (Eph 2:8)

But it is not the Mormon's goal to convert us or destroy us because we are not Mormon.
