I've paraphrased the Bible to be more gender inclusive some times when I've quoted it.

I've said, "unless a person is born again" for John 3:3 instead of "except a man be born again."

I've said, "the effective fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much" for James 5:16 instead of "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
