I agree that values don't change when circumstances do... however history will attest that fallen human beings go to great lengths and often do things that betray their values to survive. We have to accept that reality. Also, we live in such a previledged society that we can smugly say stuff like this. I do believe that if most of us were ever in their circumstances we too might be willing to do things we'd never do given the opportunities we have.
I disagree. I wouldn't violate my values to pay my bills or even eat. I believe most people are like myself in that regard.
In this country, we have people that commit crimes with the excuse that they are poor. These people are punished and rightfully so. We don't give them a free pass due to their unfortunate circumstances. If we did, we'd all be living in constant fear. I know I would.
Sadly, we have people living without adequate food, water, or even heat in THIS country, however, hearing stories about criminal activity taking place due to those circumstances is rare.

We're not talking about a crime that robs another of life, liberty, or property. We're talking about people who jumped our fence to be free and have a chance at life.
Again... the only way to resolve the issue according to your paradigm is to turn America into a police state to catch them and deport them. I see that as unacceptable. Millions are here already and I don't want a police state that polices us all to catch them. I believe we do better to grant them citizenship, issue a fine, a first degree misdemeanor, and probation. If you're uncomfortable with prison after probation violation, we can put a felony on their record and fine them again. Or we could grant conditional citizenship and after probation violation round up provation violators. But again... a significant amount of policing the populance would be necessary.

The reason they want to justify abortion includes scarcity of resouerces and Americans pollute the planet. Why do you want more Illegals? Just to come here and increase polution.? Another hypocracy. The abortion ordeal tells us who the violnet perps are. And the same liberals want to legalize drugs. More violence.

They are free on the other side of the fence. I have been to the other side of the fence many times. American banks are open on the other side of the fence. The Med School in Mexico city allows americans to attend. They can come here and practice. We have free trade. The Fence argument on your part is a red herring. How may times have you been on the other side of the fence?
My relatives have lived on the other side of this FENCE for many decades. It isn't about freedom from dictators. Don't pretend we offer freedom.

When did this become a crime?
Jumping our fences is a crime in case the two have become confusing.
And I don't believe we would have to become a police state to enforce our laws.

How do you suggest we find millions of illegal immigrants?
When the police stop them for traffic stops, when they apply for a job without the proper creditials, when they try and rent/buy property, etc.
