No one's asking anyone to be "super-spiritual" here. I'm sure as heck not super-spiritual and I'm not looking for anyone else to be. I'm talking about common, human decency. I don't see how having compassion on someone who has fallen in their sin has anything to do with being "super-spiritual".
OK, so I'm ALMOST there! Glad I'm getting closer. I think this whole "process" would go much smoother and be much more streamlined and accurate if you would just fill in the blanks and put my name there, like this:

I MOW agree with notofworks that whatever he says is right, undeniable, exactly as God would see it and I repent in dust and ashes that I have been so blind and stupid as to not see the error of my ways. In the future I will just defer to whatever he says because it it right and just. I rue the day that I have not seen things as notofworks sees them and will in the future not even THINK about disagreeing or offering an alternative viewpoint.

There. That should just about do it. What do you think everyone? Did I get it right this time?

LOL

Thanks, Sam! Your vote of confidence will finally allow me to get some sleep tonight!

Re: More Jokes

Two guys go to the local builders' supply to get some 2 x 4s'. One waits in the truck while the other one goes in; in a few minutes he comes back out and and tells his friend the clerk wants to know how long they want 'em.

"Tell him we want them a long time, we're building a house with them."

Wow. Why won't you answer the questions? Any of them. Do the answers at which you would almost certainly arrive, bother you? Do those certain answers put you, and others, in a bad light that would require you to take a step back and reconsider what you find humorous? Does the possibility that I, a confrontational dissenter of those who tell classless and un-Christlike jokes, might be correct in this matter?

Well, here are questions again. Could you please answer them?

Would the disciples have stood over the woman caught in adultery, and laughed? Would Jesus have done that? And if the disciples had laughed at her, what would Jesus' reaction have been?

None of the women cried "foul" and they laughed as well. I wasn't as interested in telling the joke as I was their reaction to it. Normally, they're "straight up" if they don't like something. I thought it was very interesting.
Something came up in a meeting I had today with our Executive Director and I had my laptop with me. I read the joke and she formed a surprised look on her face and said, "Well, it's not funny, that's for sure. Are these men (that passed it on) Christians? I would assume not."

So...no laughter to the point of choking, here. If I can remember in our Monday Staff Meeting, I'll take a poll with the others. I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat wanting to know.
