As a futurist growing up I was taught about all of the horrible things that were coming.

One world government
One world church
A person who is the antichrist
etc etc etc.

That paradigm builds the following thought process within us.

It is coming.
It will happen.
God said it.
There's nothing you can do to stop it.

As a partial preterist I see much of the scriptures used to further those thought as past and I no longer see things things as necessarily inevitable.

The futurist mindset demands that these things be inevitable.

So do you think that after the fall of the Repub, that everything will be rebuilt again? It has take 70 years in Russia and things still have not recovered.

Would it not be better if we preplanned some sort of evacuation plan to another counrty. If things go to pot here it is likely to get really bad for Christians.

Socialism is opposed to Christianity. Things will begin to look bad for the Christians still in this nation.

Hmm. To my thinking they are not necessarily inevitable. That sounds fatalistic.

But it is... generally speaking... the paradigm of the futurist.

I don't disagree with that.
