But this is besides the point.


The point is, the government growing during this downturn is helping to stabilize the economy.

This is one of the reasons to have a strong Federal government-- to help the states when the states and localities get weak.


They have learned from the Great Depression and are doing EXACTLY what the Federal government DID NOT do in the beginining of the Great Depression, so that this downturn does not get as bad as a depression.

He's following in the steps of the FDR administration. More big government. I'm just waiting for another Smoot-Hartley Act.....perhaps it will take the form of Cap-n-Trade......
