Re: ~~~~Christmas Plans~~~~
We have been playing what some call Marbles and others Jacks N ? something.
Anyway, we made our board and found sets of marbles. It is a lot of fun playing with partners. Our board is for 6 players, and we made another for four. You use cards and marbles plus the board that looks similiar to Wahoo or Aggravation if you are familiar with those games.

Re: ~~~~Christmas Plans~~~~
I am going through a divorce, SO...I will not have my son for Christmas day, but I will get to see him for a couple of hours on Christmas Eve. This will be a hard year for me.
Then on Christmas Day, my sister and I are traveling to San Antonio to re-group and de-stress. Just stay on the River Walk and eat, have fun and laugh at LIFE!
To all of my AFF friends, have a Wonderful Christmas and may the New Year of 2010 bring all your hopes, dreams and wishes to pass!

I'm sorry to hear your Christmas this year will be a bit unsettled. I hope you enjoy your time on the River Walk. I've spent many a times there and it has always been fun!
Praying that 2010 is a very blessed year for you, Bella!!! God bless!

Bella,
Sounds like you are doing the right thing and just think - next year you'll have your son for Christmas!!
There is life after divorce - know we care and God cares even more!
Merry Christmas!!

Re: ~~~~Christmas Plans~~~~
My kitchen counters are covered with noodles.... covered w/papertowels to dry. I left instructions for Jacq to bag them up today while I'm working. I made enough for our Christmas and others.

come on Barb... make them boys some noodles...
I love them but never made them until last year. My aunts, my father's sisters make the best and we just rave on them when we have them at reunions.
I went to my sister's house on Christmas eve last year, and she showed me how to make them. I didn't like hers as much as my aunts, but they were good.
So, I made them myself for Thanksgiving. I took them to my sister's house for dinner, and well.. you should have seen her face when she realized that she had taught me to make them, but I made them better than she did.
She taught me measurements, but I do not cook by measurements...I go by texture of dough...and somehow those suckers turned out just like my dad's sisters. I am so darn proud of myself.
They are good, I have fun making them... but they are high in calories... I won't make them except for special occasions.
btw the way, tell that younger brother of yours Hi for me and give him a hug from me too.

I will tell him. He'll be home from FL sometime tomorrow...
And the boys can do without the noodles...they're too spoiled now!! It's my grandmother's recipe, but my SIL makes them better, I think...only thing is, she lives in OH...

For all those that do not celebrate Christmas - this thread is not for you.
What's the plans for your family this year?
|
Got some Christmas food, sinfully Chocolate Brownie mix for the wife and we'll be camping out (well, at home ) with the wife, kid, and dog.
We're slightly bummed as this is our first Christmas to be away from family, but we'll make it.
