Re: Really Awkward! Ev. Duane is following me ...

No more time to play for me. Michael is finished with lunch-- and we have a science experiment to do today. I'm out.......

Re: Really Awkward! Ev. Duane is following me ...

This reminds me of an old Spanish worship song we used to sing in la iglesia ....

I always had morbid visuals as a child as each body part was eliminated ....

//Yo te alabo de corazón,
yo te alabo con mi voz//

//I worship Him with my heart
I worship Him with my voice//

Y si me falta la voz,
yo te alabo con las palmas.
And if my voice is missing
I worship Him with my hands

Y si me faltan las palmas,
yo te alabo con los pies.
And if my hands are missing
I worship with my feet.

Y si me faltan los pies,
yo te alabo con el alma.
And if my feet are missing
I worship Him with my soul

Y si me faltara el alma,
es que ya me fuí con El.
And if my soul is missing
It's because I have gone with Him.

Talk about traumatic when you're worshipping and you visualize yourself as a parapaplegic and then your number is called.

Ah, the good ol' day.

Thanks! I was totally fine until Friday night after the Tupelo Market. I got really really cold. Like bone deep cold. Couldn't get warm all night. Jon said my sleep was very restless. All weekend I stayed cold and was wheezy when I would breathe in. No cruddy cold symptoms until Monday when all that stuff in my chest broke up. Now I have the whole nine yards, and no energy either.

I'm trying to stay down and rest so I will feel up to par by the weekend for the Memphis Market.

Ah, the good ol' day.

And who was it that responded to "que Dios te bendiga" with
"y que te pique la hormiga"?

My favorite is the classic traditional Apostolic Assembly greeting
"Paz de Cristo" .... which we would replace in the 90's with "Paz de Clinton".

Re: Really Awkward! Ev. Duane is following me ...

Wow, Dan, I set out to get a rise out of you, as you do to others so often, and not only did you take the bait, but it must be moving into your lower intestine by now. You went to my blog(which I haven't touched in months), checked out pictures of me and my facial hair, and maybe heard me, as I so often do, totally ROCK on my guitar. I thought I was supposed to be the one doing the stalking!

Okay, here's the scoop. I work a full time job to support my family, but I'm ordained as an evangelist and feel the call to go into full time evangelism. It's a big leap. On a good night I can belt out the truth with the best of 'em, and on a bad night I can fall flat as a flapjack. Like a box of chocolates. I have some dates in February, a youth revival in June, and of course the Feast of Pentecost in October. I don't have a full schedule of preaching ahead of me, so I just let Pastors know that I'm available. Why should this be a subject of ridicule?

And the cheap shot that I'm neither a preacher nor an evangelist was noted as well, friend.

From what you gathered on your fishing expedition, you must have picked up that I'm not a UC hardliner, in fact I lean toward the lib side as far as "standards" go. The issue with you is that you're such a hardliner against the hardliners that you come across as terribly disrespectful to many great men and women of God who happen to toe the standards line. My approach with UCs is to just let them be who they are, respect them for the road they've traveled, and be silent where I disagree with them, but that thread wouldn't get a lot of traffic now would it?

Love ya Dan, or should I say, friend.
