1 step method is a mode of how one views salvation. 1 steppers believe salvation is at repentance/faith in Christ, but because one is saved they should go on and be baptized in Jesus name and receive the Holy Ghost. Many of the people on this forum believe that. Traditionally people in the oneness Org's are of the 3 step variety. Meaning one has to go through all three steps of repentance, baptisim and infilling of the HG in order to be saved.

There are the differences. I am not starting a debate about what is or isn't salvation. Wasn't sure which you were because one church might fit your likings over another.

OK, thanks for the clarification I am not here to debate either. I just want to find a church that we can worship in and feel a part of. I would like my family to be accepted and maybe even have friends even though we do not hold to a strict dress standard.

I agree with you on the strict dress code thing. Over the years FAC has gotten lighter it seems, but if what Matt said is true then the UPCI church might be the best

Just thought I would send an update if anyone is interested. I goto New Life Deliverance Ministries now and I am very happy with it. My wife and I have grown more in this church in the last year than any other church we have ever been in. This was truly an answer to our prayers. We are sharing a building right now with a Baptist Church since we are growing and the pictures on the website are from the old sanctuary as of right now. But will be updated soon. I was reading back over past comments after I posted and wanted to update on what stmatthew said. Our church does uphold the holiness standards. We believe that it is not what you wear that saves you but what is in your heart that does. The Pharisees certainly followed the law to a strict standard but never really had a relationship with God. We do not aspire to be of the Pharisee persuasion but rather lovers of Jesus. God does the convicting and we do the loving. If we truly are seeking after righteousness we shall be filled based on scripture. New Life allows this process to take place in a non judgmental environment.
