The bible is very clear about church attendance, blame the preacher all you want but you should be actively looking for a new church home if you cant submit to the one you currently have or had.....To just not go, well, that's on you and it's wrong.......it's far more than a pastor asking his saints to not wear a moustache or short sleeves on the platform.

We all draw our lines in the sand at different points, who cares if some are more conservative than others? Is it REALLY that big of a deal?? You are a grown person, if you dont agree, the pastor isnt going to whip you or hang you from the highest tree at sunset, you just probably wont be on the platform. So?? And if the pastor is some kind of tyrant, well find another one...but get off your butt and LOOK for one!. Stop sitting back and making excuses.

Wonder how long someone would stay employed at McDonalds if they refused to wear that USELESS visor?
What if there are no other churches around you? I know of an area of the country (which shall remain nameless) that the UPCI churches are at least 1 1/2 hours away from each other. Not so easy to just go to another one. Then the pastor of the other one wants a letter from your old pastor. (What do you think that letter will say? Anything good probably not). There are no other Oneness churches around in this particular area that I am aware of, so what do those people do?

does it have to be a UPC church? There is no church of any kind that preaches truth?

Get the letter - be open with the new pastor and work through it - if it doesnt work out, at least you tried..dont just sit at home on a MAYBE

So you still cant find a church? Start having bible studies in your own home....you and your family. "assemble yourselves together"....invite your neighbors...

before long, there just might be a church in your area...

or they could stay at home and complain. I'm sure since they've been in much prayer about this that God says it ok for them to just sit at home and wither up and die spiritually b/c they arent being fed...I mean really, there inst a church in their town. God knows this...so its ok.

Pray and ask the Lord what to do, then stop, look and listen for the answer. It may not be the answer you would like, but He will answer. Then make sure you do exactly what He directs, even if it is to go to another church, or find a home church, or start a home church. Just leave the place where you don't fit and move according to the Lord's direction, forget what others think, as long as you are following Him. Just like there are terrible schools there are terrible church groups, so find God's path for your family. You will have to get over all the fear that the past holds, if you can't do this then you don't have Jesus you have religion.

Get off their butt and look for one! Don't you read? Then, the ones that do go searching for a church are criticized over considering moving to attend one they find.
