Man, I hope your back feels better! I don't like being in bed!

Re: What I want Obama to say tonight

Just heard that Mike Pence is NOT running for the Senate seat in Indiana.

Mike is saying, "After much prayer and deliberation, I have decided to remain in the House and to seek reelection to the 6th Congressional District in 2010."

"I am staying for two reasons. First because I have been given the responsibility to shape the Republican comeback as a member of the House Republican Leadership and, second, because I believe Republicans will win back the majority in the House of Representatives in 2010."

"So my duty is here, in the House, serving my constituents and my colleagues as we fight to restore a conservative majority to the Congress of the United States. I am not going to leave my post when the fate of the House hangs in the balance. My place is here, in that fight, with the brave men and women who will be winning that victory for the American people."

Okay, back on topic - Obama please resign!!!

ME EITHER!!! I hate it! The kids wanted to know if they were going to be out of school today, and I made them bring all their books in here! LOL!!!!

I keep trying to get up so I can go do something, and then being compelled to get back into bed. Very annoying. Advil is my friend, but I bet Ferd could send me something better....

What about an ice pack? I had an auto accident on Father's Day last year and bought some nice ice packs. $25 each. Love them!

I did use a homemade ice pack yesterday and it seemed to help. I'm sure just staying off my feet for a day or two will help the most--but that's the hardest part.

off topic, but how did you overzealously mommy-hurt your back? just curious! Hope you get to feeling better really soon.

on topic,

I'd love to hear the POTUS say tonight......

Hello everyone. I have enormous news for you! I have received the gift of the HolyGhost, I spoke in tongues, and I was baptized in the lovely Name of Jesus Christ! I'm going to give myself another 6 months to see if I can get my country back on the right course, and if not, I'll step aside.

I would also love to be visited by a crew from Publishers Clearing House holding a very large check, but that ain't gonna happen either. Actually the chances of that happening are probably FAR better.

Jeff & I started taking ice-skating lessons after Christmas--it was one of his Christmas gifts to me. (My favorite one.) After a couple of weeks, we decided to include the kids, and of course I want to be able to do all the tricks with them! Yesterday was our 2nd family lesson, and my 5th lesson. I was doing (okay, TRYING to do) a single-leg glide. I fell forward on my hands and knees on the ice--VERY HARD!!!! Cracked my knees on the ice so hard it made me nauseous and dizzy. The instructor helped me off the ice, and I thought I was going to be okay, but apparently the real impact went to my lower back, and I could barely walk out of the rink. I've been in bed since yesterday afternoon, sore everywhere, really, but my lower back is really seized up--walking is very painful at this point.

My pastor said that it's a sign I'm getting older--when I lose the ability to bounce. Definitely didn't bounce--the ice stopped me cold!

I think I need to be happy to glide around the ice on both feet gracefully, and forget my personal aspirations to be the next Kristi Yamuguchi.

You need to rotate heat and cold.

10 minutes hot
5 minutes cold
repeat 3 times and end with 10 more minutes hot.
